Tauern bike path (from/to Salzburg)

DAY 1: Individual arrival to the city Salzburg

DAY 2: Salzburg – Lofer (about 58 km)
On flat bicycle routes along the river Saalach through Bad Reichenhall to Lofer.

DAY 3: Lofer – Kaprun (about 50 km)
You cycle through the so called “Steinerenes Meer” through to the basin of Saalfelden and then along the bank of the Zeller See (lake) to Kaprun, which was located at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn (mountain).

DAY 4: Kaprun – Krimml – Kaprun (about 57 km)
This day begins with a transfer by train or bus to Krimml. From there you cycle distance of three kilometres to the biggest waterfalls of Europe.
The return journey by bike allows you marvellous views through the high mountains.

DAY 5: Kaprun – St. Johann in the Pongau (about 49 km)
Past the Zeller See (lake) you cycle through the city Bruck at the foot of the Großglockner (mountain), through the Salzachtal (valley) to the city St. Johann.

DAY 6: St. Johann in the Pongau – Golling (about 34 km)
Past Bischofshofen and Werfen (castle Hohenwefern) you reach the city Golling.

DAY 7: Golling – Salzburg (about 28 km)
Through the city Hallein (salt mine) and far through the cities Anif and Hellbrunn you reach the city Salzburg.

DAY 8: Individual departure or additional nights
